Simple Website 01
For my simple website, I created a system based off of a morning routine for a person who wears makeup on a daily basis. I created two options for each day for the person based off of mood, energy, and desired look. Each day has a more lazy look and a more polished look with images for reference, youtube tutorials, and links for makeup products that would help the person achieve the desired look.
Version 1 | Evocative HTML 02
For the Evocative HTML project I wanted to tell the story of transformation in character through abstractions of images and html elements. My website is based off of the story The Ant and Chrysallis and it tells the story of an ant that judges others based on appearances in order to make himself better. Later when the Chrysallis becomes a butterfly the Ant realizes that putting others down does nothing but harm himself rather than others.
Version 2 | Evocative HTML 02
The second version of my Evocative HTML included less internet pieces like images and gifs, and instead I used more HTML pieces to better tell the story of personal character transformation. I wanted the user to better feel the emotions of the characters of the story rather than plainly telling the story. I also worked more with different HTML elements to create a more dynamic and interesting site to go through.
Version 1 | Repeatable Unit 03
For my Repeatable Unit I created a composition with animated colors and moving pieces to create a dynamic pattern that was always visually captivating. It would also be a fun interactive piece for the user as they go through the pattern and active the hover pieces. I also used borders and colors to create more depth and playfulness.
Version 2 | Repeatable Unit 03
Version 2 of my Repeatable Unit is more streamlined aesthetically and it is also a more complex pattern that brings more interest for the user.

For my delux repeatable units I borrowed elements from other students' patterns and created a dynamic and colorful piece for each pattern. I tried to use different elements from different projects to create more dynamic patterns. I also changed the colors to make each one distinct from the other.

For my research project, I created a site that explained what a javascript array is and I tried to explain each element by showing actual code and explanations for each.
Time Piece | 06
My time piece is based off of an abstracted love story. The two characters, the circle and triangle, are contantly moving towards and away from each other, but they can never come together. The large changing circle/square element in the middle is the blocker. This is representational of whatever is keeping these two beings apart. This blocker element changes color each day to show transformation over time. Also, the alarm state, which occurs at 11PM, is a CSS animation of many circles falling over and over again. These could be tears or rain and they cna show an emotional transformation or cleansing. However, the next day the shapes are moving again just like before, never stopping.
